“This is fine!” - A StarEevee Fandom Contemplation
I'm gonna be frank right now, the StarEevee fandom is kinda dead right now. There are many reasons for this, but most of all it's because Star hasn't posted a full episode in almost 2 years. I know there was a bonus episode, and it was cool, but just not what the fans have been waiting for. I love Scratch, but it's simply not the same place it was when I arrived. I really miss making memes with Cheese, Sam, and Jazty, and working on my little pet project called Churning Gears for cheap laughs. There was no SEEU, not drama, and very few people. It was quite nice to have a carefree space to chill and hangout with happy fans about our little Eevee show. I mean as fandoms are, it was a dream come true (much better than Genshin ugh)! The fandom's first big loss was Cheese, I remember the day Sam told me Cheese got banned. It was not the happiest day, but after a while it faded. As time went on, I met a few new people, then Yuko and Genesis stepped into the circle. They changed everything and fan projects started to get much more large and ambitious. This is when more people started to show up in the fandom, and when lots of people show up in a fandom, it means trouble. The bigger a fandom gets, the more questionable people there are. The drama started to come and I was unaffected for the most part as I stayed on my little island away from it all. As I worked away at CG Ch3 my friends were cooking away at their own things. Then finally, the day finally came when I got involved with "him". Yuko and Genesis will know who I'm talking about. I handles it pretty well and suffered minimal losses, but everyone else I cannot say the same. Now I feel like the drama is much better, but there is a lack of creativity and laughter. I've never considered myself REALLY part of any group because I like my island away from it all, but I still feel sad to see this fandom crumble over time. I'm not sure what will happen when Star posts episode 3, but it might just be enough to open thing up for revival. With all of the recent wounds and the lack of content, it might just get more lively for maybe a month I'm not sure. I'm not motivated to work on any SEEU projects because of multiple reasons. EQVC is kinda at rock bottom because one of the main characters in no longer in the story, CG is in limbo because I want to learn Godot but don't feel like remaking stuff in a new engine, and the rest is just dead. I'm working on a few things, but I won't be posting much. Not even OC Slides for the SEEU. I'm not sure what I'l even be doing on Scratch anymore... Sorry there wasn't a New Years post this year, I've been really busy traveling and visiting family this month. I really hope things get better soon, and I wish everyone who is depressed or sad right now a very good year and hope you all get better soon.
